Banking and Finance Law
Technical proficiency and efficiency are expected when it comes to what a law firm offers its banking and finance clients, given the complexities faced by businesses, institutions and other entities – regulated or unregulated, public or private. What sets Gardere's financial lawyers apart, however, is our emphasis on delivering unparalleled, user-friendly client service. We want our clients to have a “Disney” moment when they work with us.
Our banking and finance clients – throughout Texas, the nation and Mexico – often become loyal, life-long clients, whether they have come to us for help with a commercial financing, bank regulatory compliance, restructuring or some other transaction or issue. We have handled banking and finance assignments across the board. Our clients are public and private entities looking for business guidance with financings, secured and unsecured, involving real estate, mineral interests, inventory, accounts receivable, factoring, intangible properties and virtually every other type of asset. With unparalleled experience in general commercial finance and banking litigation, Gardere offers a nationally recognized practice in specialty financing to niche industries (such as credit facilities for subprime automobile loans or other types of consumer credit). Gardere’s clients come from Wall Street to Main Street.
Financing on a national stage; when the world looks at Dallas.
Where we started: There is no bigger stage than nationally televised sporting events; and such events often represent a unique opportunity for a community to be portrayed in a positive light. When local host committees sponsored nationally recognized sporting events in the Dallas Metroplex, their local bank turned to Gardere.
Our roadmap: We documented financings secured by state sales tax revenues, which were to be generated from the sporting events.
And finally: Gardere has closed a series of complex transactions in a matter of days to provide short-term financing for the local host committees. Gardere’s commitment to its clients, the community and working collaboratively has earned it a “go-to” reputation on such critical, high-profile projects.
An Undeniable Commitment to Client Service
Where we started: In 2009, during the middle of the economic crisis, Gardere received a call from one of its bank clients to prepare and close a $35 million loan. The call came in the early hours of a Sunday morning (before 3:00 a.m.).
Our roadmap: The relationship partner immediately headed to the office and began drafting loan documents. He was joined in a matter of hours by his finance team who committed to having the loan closed in record time.
And finally: The loan closed and funded on Monday morning (slightly over 24 hours from the initial call). The financing allowed the debtor to remain open during bleak financial times and firmly established Gardere as the finance team that set a new gold standard for responsiveness, client service and dedication.
Gardere's finance and bank attorneys help both lenders and borrowers with everything from simple working capital and term loans to large, complex transactions. These include:
You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander. A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.
Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used. For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.
AND and OR may be used in a search. Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."
The + and - sign operators may be used. The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".
To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks. For example, "Project Finance".
Searches are not case sensitive.
