Gardere Represents Ashford Trust in Management Conversions

Hotel Online covered Ashford Hospitality Trust Inc.'s announcement that it has entered into a franchise agreement to convert the 258-room, Crowne Plaza Beverly Hills to a Marriott. The conversion also includes a $25 million product improvement plan that includes an array of upgrades. In May 2013, Ashford completed the transfer of management from Marriott to Remington Lodging & Hospitality at seven of its select-service hotels and one full-service hotel.

"The Marriott Beverly Hills is well positioned within the marketplace as presently there are few full service Marriott hotels near the hotel. We believe the conversion of our Beverly Hills hotel is well-timed and we expect to reap the benefits of this market demand," said Ashford's Chair and CEO Monty J. Bennett.

Ashford is represented by Gardere Real Estate Partner Cynthia Nelson.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
