Gardere Hosts 'Energy of Energy' Forum

Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP will host the 4th Annual Energy of Energy on Wednesday, April 28, 5-7:30 p.m. at the Houstonian Hotel, 111 North Post Oak Lane. At the event, Maynard Holt, co-president of the energy investment and merchant bank Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co., will discuss "Deal Making in the Oil Patch."

"Today, winning the 'oil race' is all about deal-making," said Doug Eyberg, head of Gardere's Energy Industry practice group. "The energy industry is buzzing, with $130 billion in deals so far this year. But that's mostly been about trying to secure resources. With 87 percent of the world's oil reserves controlled by foreign governments or national champions, large private energy companies are finding it harder to replace lost production. This places the burden firmly on deal-making."

Mr. Holt will discuss the many broad trends driving energy deals and the recent flurry of M&A activity. Interview opportunities will be available that evening with Mr. Holt and Mr. Eyberg. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
