Team Gardere Steps Up to Fight MS in Texas

It's time for the 2008 North Texas MS 150 Bike Tour fun to begin! We would like very much for you to join in our Gardere Gearhead fun this year. The SAM'S CLUB MS 150 is a 2 day bike tour and a vital fund-raiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Lone Star Chapter. It directly benefits more than 17,000 men, women and children living with MS in 141 Texas counties. Join more than 3,500 cyclists this year on May 3-4, 2008 as we take to the Texas roads from Frisco to Fort Worth in the SAM'S CLUB MS 150 Bike Tour. This important weekend will raise more than $2.5 million for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, giving hope to more than 20,000 Texas families living with multiple sclerosis.

In 2007, the Gardere Gearheads - a team of 150 riders consisting of Gardere attorneys, clients, friends and family members, joined together to help raise more than $108,000 for the MS Society.

In 2008, we have even bigger and better plans for the Invasion of the Gearheads. With a goal of doubling our team members and fundraising amount, we want to build upon our "Most Improved Team" - Growth: We grew by more than 71 cyclists from 2006 to 2007 to 150 members & "Most Improved Team" for Fund-Raising: We increased our fundraising by more than $59,000 from 2006 to 2007, to raise more than $108,000.

With an expected total 16,000 riders for the two-day Houston to Austin ride, 2008 promises to be even better!
