Mike Wall is a leading trial lawyer, handling high-stakes oil and gas litigation throughout the U.S., most often for clients headquartered in Houston and in the chemical, pipeline, oilfield services and energy sectors. He also has considerable appellate experience. In addition, Mike frequently assists large and mid-sized manufacturing, energy, pipeline, telecommunications, real estate, computer/software, financial services, asset recovery and legal services entities, with big disputes involving contracts, ownership, shareholder, partnership and management claims, and catastrophic injuries and claims for wrongful death. Clients also hire Mike for litigation relating to financial losses, property damage, construction, environmental, toxic tort, insurance coverage and patent infringement.
He has represented clients in many large, multiparty cases requiring a high degree of management and coordination. Clients value Mike’s years in the oil and gas industry, project management skills and efficient, cost-effective and collaborative style of practice, which includes the use of techniques such as case plans, work plans for document collection and review, and detailed fee and expense forecasting.
Mike is most often hired by business executives, general counsel and individuals. Some of his clients – including some that are publicly traded – have relied on him for years, trusting his ability to get the best outcome achievable while limiting exposure and maximizing benefit. Clients also like Mike’s steadfast courtroom demeanor and his candor as a counselor who will talk them out of a lawsuit when he feels doing so is in their best interest.
He sees greater pressure ahead for regulatory compliance, particularly comprising environmental issues. In addition to his trial practice, Mike is the leader of the Chemicals and Refining Industry Team and is a former leader of one of Gardere’s litigation teams. He also taught trial tactics for 17 years through programs sponsored by the University of Houston Law Center.
You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander. A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.
Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used. For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.
AND and OR may be used in a search. Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."
The + and - sign operators may be used. The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".
To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks. For example, "Project Finance".
Searches are not case sensitive.
