Matt Savage is a senior trade analyst who assists domestic and foreign corporations with U.S. import and export regulations, international supply chain, procurement support and global logistics. Since joining Gardere, Matt has supported clients in the oil and gas, cosmetic, aerospace, international automobile sales and machinery manufacturing sales sectors. He previously worked for a leading global manufacturer of aerostructures, handling its import compliance matters and its transition to SAP, from implementation to post launch.

Matt’s current focus includes support for various aspects of Gardere’s international corporate practice, where he assists clients worldwide that run into export and import compliance issues. He also has extensive experience streamlining, developing, implementing and providing oversight for U.S. trade compliance programs. These include:

  • Classification determinations (HTS, USML and ECCN)

In addition to international trade compliance, Matt has experience conducting internal audits for ISO compliance and improving effectiveness through corrective and preventative actions. Prior to joining the Firm, Matt worked for two major freight forwarding companies, as well as a large supplier of telecommunications test equipment.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
