Michael Thomas is a litigation attorney who focuses his practice on labor and employment issues. Michael has substantial trial and arbitration experience representing major Texas clients, both locally and nationally, in the trucking, retail and other industries. He routinely handles large, multiparty matters, including cases involving:

  • Collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Employment discrimination
  • Employee theft, fraud and embezzlement
  • Trade secrets
  • Covenants not to compete

Michael has experience in all aspects of litigation from pre-suit settlement negotiations through trial. He has earned a reputation for being a creative, doggedly relentless and well-prepared advocate for his clients.

While in law school, Michael worked for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, focusing on religious and other discrimination claims. He also served as a judicial clerk in the 116th Judicial District Court in Dallas. Following law school, Michael joined one of the preeminent litigation boutiques in Dallas, where he handled commercial lawsuits in federal, bankruptcy and state courts.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance." 

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
