Deirdre Ruckman has substantial experience representing debtors and creditors in complex reorganizations and in sales of distressed assets in bankruptcy, especially in the energy, health care and hospitality sectors. She has a regional and national practice, handling matters involving restructurings of both private and public debt. Dee is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Bankruptcy, is also active in the energy, health care and hospitality industries. Chambers USA describes Dee as “a "very thorough and creative lawyer" with "extensive bankruptcy litigation experience."

Regardless of the industry, clients are increasingly turning to Dee to handle the sophisticated disposition of distressed assets involved in bankruptcy. Dee has represented borrowers and financial institutions with structured financing/asset securitizations. Her lender-related work includes such matters as loan transactions, equipment leasing, factoring transactions and structured finance transactions.

Dee's clients appreciate her creative approach to problem solving, where she often regards complicated deals as a chess board. During her 40 years with Gardere, Dee chaired the Financial Restructuring Practice for ten years and has held numerous leadership positions within the Firm.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
