Practice Emphasis

The Gardere Banking Team serves both public and private as well as regulated and unregulated entities and institutions in all of the financial aspects of their business including regulatory matters, financing transactions, development transactions and restructurings. Attorneys have experience with virtually every form of commercial financing, both secured and unsecured, and handle transactions involving all types of assets including real estate, mineral interests, inventory, accounts receivable, factoring and various forms of intangible properties. Gardere attorneys are particularly experienced in the special issues involved in the financing and operation of hotels and resorts, ships and energy assets such as drilling rigs and production platforms. Most Gardere attorneys represent both lenders and borrowers, giving them a valuable perspective that helps to get deals closed efficiently.

Transactions in which members of the Banking team represent both lenders and borrowers range from relatively simple working capital and term loans to large, complex transactions. These transactions include:

Asset securitizations including collateralized bond obligation transactions
Domestic and foreign syndicated loans
Equipment leases
Industrial development bonds
Letter of credit facilities
