Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP is pleased to announce that Dallas Partner Robert Sarfatis and Houston Partner N.L. Stevens III have been selected by the American City Business Journals for inclusion in the 2014 "Who's Who in Energy" list, which recognizes the top energy leaders throughout the United States. This marks Mr. Sarfatis' first appearance and Mr. Stevens' fourth appearance among the movers and shakers in the energy industry.

"We congratulate Robert and Larry for being listed as two of the top influential people in the energy industry," says Douglas K. Eyberg, chair of Gardere's Energy Industry Team. "This recognition is not only an honor, but also a strong indicator of the commitment and value they bring to our clients and to the Firm."

Mr. Sarfatis is a leader in Gardere's highly rated Energy Industry Team and the Firm's Chemical and Refining Industry Team. His practice focuses on general corporate and securities matters, financings and contract negotiations, including the representation of buyers and sellers in merger and acquisition transactions, the representation of investors and companies in venture capital investment transactions and general business matters. Mr. Sarfatis represents energy clients in a wide range of practice specialties including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, finance transactions and securities, and serves as outside general counsel for major energy companies.

Mr. Stevens serves on Gardere's Board of Directors and is a member of the Firm's Energy Industry Team. His practice includes a broad spectrum of corporate, securities, energy, energy services and international transactions. Mr. Stevens represents issuers and private equity funds in mergers and acquisition transactions and all forms of debt and equity financings. He also advises executive management groups of public and private companies on compensation and related matters.

The exclusive "Who's Who in Energy" list is compiled by the editors of the Dallas Business Journal, the Houston Business Journal and the business journals in five other major U.S. cities, including Denver, Pittsburgh, San Antonio, St. Louis and Columbus, Ohio. Selections were made based on open nominations, industry outreach and internal research by each publication. The elite group will be featured in the Nov. 28, 2014 multistate special publication and honored at a reception in early 2015.

Search Tips:

You may use the wildcard symbol (*) as a root expander.  A search for "anti*" will find not only "anti", but also "anti-trust", "antique", etc.

Entering two terms together in a search field will behave as though an "OR" is being used.  For example, entering "Antique Motorcars" as a Client Name search will find results with either word in the Client Name.

Operators

AND and OR may be used in a search.  Note: they must be capitalized, e.g., "Project AND Finance."

The + and - sign operators may be used.  The + sign indicates that the term immediately following is required, while the - sign indicates to omit results that contain that term. E.g., "+real -estate" says results must have "real" but not "estate".

To perform an exact phrase search, surround your search phrase with quotation marks.  For example, "Project Finance".

Searches are not case sensitive.
