Gardere Team Rides in 2014 Houston BP MS 150 Benefiting National MS Society: Lone Star Chapter
On April 12-13, 2014, Team Gardere participated in the 30th Annual BP MS 150 in support of the National MS Society: Lone Star Chapter. Ninety-six Gardere attorneys, clients, family and friends made the two-day, 180-mile fundraising cycling ride from Houston to Austin, marking the team's 14th year of participation. So far this year, the team has raised over $135,000 to support the National MS Society. The team is a past recipient of the "Mission Possible" award.
The event is held annually to raise funds to support multiple sclerosis research, programs and services provided by the National MS Society that benefit more than nearly 20,000 Texans in 141 counties affected by MS. A collective total of over $1.5 million has been raised by Gardere over the past 14 years, directly benefitting cutting-edge research, programs and services that will help find a cure for MS. Other Gardere MS fundraising efforts have included the participation of the Firm's Dallas-based Gardere Gearheads team in the Bike MS: Samís Club Round Up Ride from Frisco to Fort Worth from 2006-2013. The Gearheads are a past recipient of the "Third Highest Fundraising Team Award."
