GENERAL CITRIX USAGE INFORMATION

TO CONNECT:

From an internet browser, type in remote.gardere.com (do not use any prefixes).

Under your home office City, choose from either the Brower Connection or one of the two Home PC Connections to get to the login screen.  There is information available on at remote.gardere.com to guide you to the proper selection.  If you need to download the Citrix software, there are instructions for downloads and install instructions included on the web page.

If you get the following dialog box when you log in - please select "Full Access" and "Never ask me again."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you have selected “No Access” and “Never ask me again” you can take the following steps to correct the Client File Security settings:

1.      From the Citrix session – right-click the ICA icon at the top left-hand corner of the Citrix window.

2.      Select “File Security Status” and choose “Full Access” under Access Level and “Never ask me again” under “Do you want to be asked again?”

TO DISCONNECT:

Double-click the "zzzLogoff" icon

TO CHECK EMAIL:

Double-click the Outlook Icon on the desktop

TO COPY ATTACHMENTS FROM EMAIL TO YOUR HOME PC:

1.                  Right-click on the attachment in Outlook and choose Save as...

2.                  Select the drive and directory that corresponds with your Home PC (it will look something like this: C$ on 'Client'(V:) - C$ = your local C:\ drive, Client = Your local PC software)

3.                  Choose SAVE

TO FAX:

1.                  Open your document in Word

2.                  Choose the [FAX] button on your Tool bar (just like at the office)

3.                  RightFAX Information Sheet will appear; proceed with fax as normal.

TO CHECK A DOCUMENT OUT AND COPY IT TO YOUR HOME PC:

1.                  Open DM Quick Retrieve

2.                  Find your document in the [Recently Edited] list (or perform a search for it)

3.                  Right-click on the document and choose Check Out

4.                  Make sure that you select "Copy" from the Check-Out option drop down list, unless you want to lock the document on the network.

5.                  In the Copy to field choose the [...] button

6.                  Select the drive and directory that corresponds with your Home PC (it will look something like this: C$ on 'Client'(V:) where C$ = your local C:\ drive and Client = Your local PC software)

7.                  Change the drive and directory to the drive only - i.e., instead of "C$ on 'Client'(V:)" appearing in the drive selection you would type in "V:\" only, (or, whatever drive is representing C$)

8.                  Choose OK

9.                  Select the version you want - choose OK

TO PRINT TO YOUR REMOTE/HOME PRINTER FROM CITRIX, DO THE FOLLOWING:

1.                  From any application that prints (i.e., Outlook, Word, RightFAX, etc.) - choose FILE/PRINT

2.                  In the named printer field, click the drop down arrow and choose YOUR LOCAL PRINTER from the list - choose PRINT
