Practice Emphasis

Bringing her more than 10 years of legislative and regulatory leadership to Gardere, Christina Wisdom’s practice is primarily focused in the realm of energy and environmental matters. Her breadth of experience entails: managing, advancing and strategizing legislative initiatives; drafting legislation; testifying before Texas legislative committees and state agencies; and actively participating in federal and state rulemaking processes, which includes authoring detailed legal and technical comments on proposals.

Ms. Wisdom’s unique insight enables her to offer strategic counseling and deep knowledge of market conditions to a broad array of chemical industry clients. While vice president and general counsel to the Texas Chemical Council, Ms. Wisdom represented more than 70 chemical companies before the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Railroad Commission of Texas, Public Utility Commission of Texas, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Texas Legislature, among others.

Prior to her time with the Texas Chemical Council, Ms. Wisdom acted as government affairs coordinator and political action committee manager for Lyondell Chemical Co. in Washington, D.C. Previous to that, she was special assistant for state projects in the Washington, D.C. Office of U.S. Senator Phil Gramm.
