Practice Emphasis

Doug Haloftis represents management in individual and class action employment discrimination and wrongful discharge litigation; claims arising under ERISA concerning fiduciary management of employee benefit plans or disputes over entitlement to benefits; suits involving directors and officers, including SEC investigations and creditor claims; executive employment and stock option contracts; fiduciary obligations, trade secret and non-competition disputes; wage and hour and affirmative action planning; collective actions; and other labor and employment matters.

Mr. Haloftis has been named one of Law & Politics Media Inc.'s Texas Super Lawyers annually since 2003.

Mr. Haloftis has advised and counseled a broad range of employers and plan fiduciaries, including:

Since 2000, Mr. Haloftis has tried eight employment cases to verdict. He has defended plan fiduciaries and insurers in suits concerning claims involving diversification, conflicts-of-interest, and investment-and-fee review suits. His experience includes a defense verdict in the actual trial of claims against ESOP fiduciaries in a class action setting.
